POST-GAME QUOTES
Oklahoma State 76, TCU 54
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum
Fort Worth, Texas

TCU head coach Trent Johnson
Opening statement:

“We’re a tired group. Oklahoma State’s a really good basketball team. Obviously, [Oklahoma State guard Marcus Smart] is back. I thought we did everything we could do in terms of our zone. We lost [Oklahoma State guard Phil Forte] a little bit in the first half, so you have to pick your poison with this group.

“I can’t say enough for what [TCU guard Kyan Anderson] has done in terms of trying to play through fatigue and keeping everybody involved. Obviously, at the post, we wished he got a few more touches, but it’s a physical game, and they were physical with him at the post.”

TCU junior guard Kyan Anderson
On TCU’s effort
“We never give up. We’re looking to improve throughout the season, throughout next year and throughout the summer. We’re just trying to improve every game and every day in practice. That’s all you can do. Just play hard, give it all you got and just go out and try to win.”

Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford
Opening Statement:
“It was a good win for us. I thought our defense was good for most of the night. We went on a couple runs offensively and we weren’t great offensively at all, but we went on a couple spurts and made some threes. Our defense was fairly consistent except for a short stretch in the second half, I thought our defense played really good.”

Oklahoma State sophomore guard Phil Forte
On Marcus Smart:
“He sacrificed so much coming back, so the least I can do is be there for him. The last couple weeks were rough on him as a human being, but he’s been chomping at the bit just to get back on the court. You can see the last two games that he’s come back with a vengeance playing two of the best games this year. He’s just dominating the game from scoring and steals, and he’s affecting the game in so many ways. I think that is showing in the wins for the team right now.”
