* TCU won its seventh straight season opener and its 12th in the last 13 years. The squad is now 66-36 in openers.

* Trent Johnson became the sixth straight TCU head coach to win his first game directing the program. TCU is now 14-7 all-time in debut games for a new head coach.

* Junior forward Amric Fields led the Frogs with 16 points, his 27th career double-figure performance.

* Senior guard/forward Garlon Green, who totaled 10 points, scored in double figures for the third straight game dating back to last season and the 48th time in his career overall.

* Anderson matched a career high with three 3-pointers on five attempts while finishing with 13 points.

* TCU featured the starting lineup of Anderson, junior guard Jarvis Ray, Fields, Green and senior forward Adrick McKinney. Ray made his fourth career start and his first since last season's loss at USC (Dec. 19, 2011).

* Two players made their TCU debuts: sophomore forward Devonta Abron and freshman guard Clyde Smith III.
