TCU 79, Longwood 82
Daniel-Meyer Coliseum (Fort Worth, Texas)
TCU Head Coach Trent Johnson
"One of the things I talked to the group about before we went on the floor was our mental toughness and how it was going to be tested tonight. This game isn't any different and our approach shouldn't be any different no matter what team we are playing. That's where you'll be judged and that's how good teams and good players are judged. We are trying to get to a point where we have a good team and good players."
On the first half:
"I was really surprised at our lack of energy. Obviously, when the balls not going down for you, you can't let that dictate how you play. We got a lot of easy shots and we had shots throughout the game. When you have 79 points at home and you give up 82 points to an opponent, that's just not very good. We'll take tomorrow off and come back Thursday for practice."
On not having some players available tonight:
"I don't care who's on the floor. It does not matter. The guys on the floor are capable of playing better basketball than what we played today."
