Final Stats

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU Horned Frogs (8-4) picked up a blowout victory for the second consecutive night, burying the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions by a 76-55 count on Wednesday at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. TCU improved to 8-4 with the win, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff fell to 2-7.

TCU has eight wins prior to the start of the new year after not reaching that total until February each of the past two campaigns. The Frogs have held their last two opponents to a combined 108 points, which is the fewest scored by consecutive TCU opponents since Princeton (48) and Louisiana Tech (53) during the 1993-94 season. It is also the third time in four games that the Horned Frogs have limited a team to 55 or fewer points.

The Horned Frogs jumped out to a 20-5 start just five minutes into the contest and never looked back. After leading by double figures for the final 37:05 in Tuesday's victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore, TCU was up by at least 10 points for the final 36 minutes tonight and enjoyed a 43-23 lead at intermission. Ten Frogs reached the scoring column in the first half, paced by Corey Santee's eight.

The Golden Lions committed 25 turnovers on the evening, after TCU foreced 29 miscues the previous night. For the second straight game, no TCU player saw more than 23 minutes of game time. The Horned Frogs did not trail in a game for the third time this season.

Santee, who made 4-of-5 three-point attempts, topped the Frogs in scoring with 16 points and is now just two shy of becoming the eighth player in school history to reach the 1,500-point plateau. Femi Ibikunle, who was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line, and Marcus Sloan added nine points in a balanced attack that saw nine players score at least five points.

TCU, now 6-1 at home this season, returns to the court on Tuesday, Dec. 28, for a matchup with Grambling State at 7:05 p.m.
