FORT WORTH -- TCU men's basketball student-athlete Amric Fields and women's basketball student-athlete Zahna Medley have been named Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week.

Medley was huge in the Horned Frogs' 65-54 win at Texas Tech - TCU's first Big 12 road win since joining the league. She recorded 22 points for the second consecutive game and had a team-high four assists. TCU closed out the first half on an 18-0 run with Medley notching 10 points and two assists in that span. The Springfield, Ill. native, opened 2014 with 22 points against No. 10 Iowa State last Sunday, while also shooting 7-for-8 from the free throw line.

The Horned Frogs will continue league action by welcoming the Kansas Jayhawks on Wednesday, Jan. 8, with tip-off set for 7 p.m., at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

In the first Big 12 game of his career, Fields put up a 22-point performance of his own in the Horned Frogs¹ 74-69 Saturday afternoon loss to West Virginia. In only his second game back since injuring his hand against Harvard on Nov. 30, Fields played a season-high 34 minutes and hit a season-high eight field goals. Fields chipped in two threes in the first half and helped TCU to a perfect 7-for-7 from beyond the arc to start the game. The Oklahoma City, Okla. native, also dished out a season-high three assists, while also leading the team with five rebounds.

TCU returns to action tonight at 7 p.m., against the Kansas State Wildcats at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
