FORT WORTH -- TCU returns home from a two-game road stretch Tuesday when it plays host to Texas at 7 p.m. at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum. The Big 12 Network will televise the final regular-season matchup between the Horned Frogs and Longhorns live.

TCU (10-15 overall; 1-11 Big 12) looks to snap a three-game skid Tuesday following a Feb. 9 home loss to West Virginia and consecutive road setbacks at Oklahoma (Feb. 11) and Iowa State (Feb. 16). The Frogs dropped this season's earlier meeting with UT in Austin, 60-43. Texas (11-14; 3-9 Big 12) arrives in Fort Worth coming off a Saturday loss at No. 14 Kansas, 73-47. The Longhorns have yet to win on the road in Big 12 play (0-6) and are only 1-11 overall away from Austin this season.

TCU and Texas will meet for the 166th time, which ranks No. 4 on the Frogs' list of most-played series. UT has won the last five meetings. The teams have not played in Fort Worth since Feb. 11, 1996.

The Big 12 Network will televise the contest live on a regional basis on TXA-21 in the DFW area. Viewers located inside the Big 12 footprint but outside the Metroplex should check local listings for a carrier in their area. The contest will also be offered on ESPN3 to qualified cable subscribers and on a pay-per-view basis via ESPN Full Court. Doug Bell (play-by-play) and Stephen Howard (color) will serve as the TV talent.

Brian Estridge (pxp) and John Denton (analyst) will handle the TCU-IMG Sports Network radio broadcast, which will air live in the DFW Metroplex on both 570 KLIF AM and 88.7 FM KTCU.

Live stats will be available for free via GameTracker at GoFrogs.com, while a live stream of the radio broadcast will be offered online for FrogVision subscribers.

SCOUTING TEXAS
Texas enters Tuesday at 11-14 overall and eighth place in the Big 12 standings with a 3-9 league mark. All three of the squad's conference wins have been at home: Jan. 26 vs. Texas Tech (73-57), Feb. 2 vs. TCU (60-43) and Feb. 13 vs. Iowa State (89-86, ot).

Fifteenth-year head coach Rick Barnes returned seven letterwinners and two starters from last season's team that advanced to the NCAA Tournament with a 20-14 overall record. Texas finished sixth in the Big 12 regular-season standings with a 9-9 league mark. The Longhorns employ a young lineup this season that featured three freshman and two sophomore starters in its most recent outing.

A pair of sophomore guards paces the UT offensive attack in Sheldon McClellan (14.2 ppg) and Julian Lewis (10.7 ppg). McClellan ranks No. 7 among the Big 12's leading scorers. Sophomore points guard Myck Kabongo came back to the lineup two games ago after sitting out the season's opening 23 contests and has averaged 13.0 points and 3.5 assists since his return. Freshman guard Javan Felix, who filled in as a starter during Kabongo's absence, is No. 3 in the league in assists (5.2 apg). Sophomore forward Jonathan Holmes tops the squad and is No. 9 in the conference in rebounding at 6.8 rpg.

As a team, the Longhorns average 63.8 ppg, which is No. 9 in the Big 12. The squad is No. 1 in the league in 3-point field-goal percentage defense (26.7%) and No. 2 in overall field-goal defense (36.5%) and blocked shots (5.1 bpg).

TCU suffered a 60-43 road setback to Texas in the teams' first meeting as Big 12 members on Feb. 2. Adrick McKinney led the Frogs in the scorebook with 13 points.

TCU's trend of shooting struggles continued against the Longhorns, as it connected on only 17-of-52 field-goal attempts (32.7%). The squad also hit only 2-of-13 3-point tries while going 7-of-15 at the charity stripe. UT had no such issues from the floor, making more than 52% of its total shots.

The two teams were in a tight battle in the game's opening 10 minutes until the Longhorns took control. UT outscored the Frogs by a 17-7 margin to end the half, as TCU made only 3-of-10 shots and totaled six of its 13 turnovers in the stretch. Texas exited the locker room at intermission with a 32-20 lead that quickly grew to a 19-point edge just minutes into the second half after the squad scored the first seven points of the period.
