Brodziansky Named NABC All-District

March 22, 2017

FORT WORTH, Texas – Junior forward Vladimir Brodziansky was named to the NABC All-District 8 Second Team on Wednesday.

A native of Prievidza, Slovakia, Brodziansky has averaged 13.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 blocks for the Horned Frogs. He has scored 20 or more points seven times this season including a team-high 20 points in TCU’s 86-68 NIT quarterfinal win over Richmond Tuesday. Brodziansky has recorded 80 blocked shots this season, the second-most in school history.

The last time a TCU player was named NABC All-District was during the 2011-12 season when Hank Thorns earned a spot on the all-district 17 second team. The award adds to an impressive list of accolades for Brodziansky. Earlier this month, he was named Second Team All-Big 12 Conference, Big 12 All-Defensive Team and Academic All-Big 12. In January, Brodziansky became the first Frog to be named the Big 12 Player of the Week.

The NABC All-District teams are selected and voted on by member coaches of the National Association of Basketball Coaches in NCAA Division I. District 8 is made up of Big 12 Conference Schools.
