May 15, 2014
FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU head coach Trent Johnson announced the addition of Kenrich Williams to the men's basketball program Thursday morning.
Williams, a 6-foot-7 forward, will don the Purple and White next season after competing this past year at New Mexico Junior College where he earned all-conference honors. At NMJC, Williams averaged 10.1 points per game in 34 games, while shooting almost 60 percent from the field. He also grabbed 6.9 boards a contest and closed out the year with 18 double-digit outings, which included a 23-point outburst on 11-of-19 from the field in late February against Clarendon College. Williams helped lead the Thunderbirds, who were ranked as high as No. 7 in the country in 2013-14, to the second round of the NJCAA Men's National Basketball Championship and a 27-7 record for head coach James Miller.
