Anderson Looks to Step Up Game
Aug 28, 2013
FORT WORTH, Texas - Junior Kyan Anderson heads into his junior season pushing for all-conference accolades after a solid sophomore campaign for the TCU men's basketball program.
During the Horned Frogs recent trip to Canada, Anderson showed why he could be a force to be reckon with during the 2013-14 season. The junior scored in double-figures in three out of the four games, which included a 19-point outing on 6-of-13 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point land, in the Frogs final game against the Montréal All-Stars.
Coming off a season in which he was named to the Bob Cousy Award Watch List, which is given annually to the nation's top point guard, while also garnering South Padre Island Invitational All-Tournament Team accolades, Anderson will look to improve upon a season that saw him emerge as TCU's offensive leader while starting each game at the point.
In all, Anderson, who scored in double figures a team-high 19 games with four efforts of 20 points or more, topped TCU and ranked among the Big 12's individual leaders in scoring (No. 15), assists (No. 8), steals (No. 6), 3-pointers (No. 9), 3-point percentage (No. 10), assist/turnover ratio (No. 10) and minutes played (No. 3).
