HONOLULU, HAWAII (Nov. 24) - The TCU Horned Frogs put 69 points on the board in the first half and cruised to a 111-91 victory over Siena in the first round of the Hawaii-Pacific Thanksgiving Classic Nov. 24 in Honolulu. The victory improved the Frogs record to 3-0 on the season.

The Frogs used an agressive, pressing defense, hit 54 percent of their shots and poured in 21 of 23 from the free throw line to take a 32-point advantage into the intermission. It was the second most productive first half in school history, surpassed by only a 73-point effort vs. Texas-Pan American on November 29, 1997.

Junior Greedy Daniels led five Horned Frogs in double figures with a career-high 24 points. Daniels also dished out a team-high five assists and tied a school record with seven steals. Ryan Carroll added 19, while Myron Anthony chipped in with 17, including 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Derrick Davenport notched his second double-double of the season with 14 points and a dozen rebounds, as TCU outrebounded the Saints, 42-34, the first time TCU has outrebounded its opponents this season. Marlon Dumont came off the bench to add a season-high 10 points.

Dwayne Archbold led all scorers with 27 points for Siena (1-1). Prosper Karangwa was the only other Saint to score in double figures, finishing with 12.

The Frogs went over the 100 point mark for the third time in as many games this season. It was the second most points scored by TCU on a neutral court, topped only by the 115 point effort against Alabama State at Oklahoma City on January 7, 1995.

TCU will take on Minnesota at 6:30 p.m. Hawaiian time Saturday (10:30 p.m. CT). The Golden Gophers defeated the host school, Hawaii-Pacific in the final game on Friday. The top portion of the bracket saw Georgetown defeat UCF and College of Charleston top Duquesne.
