FORT WORTH, Texas – For the first time since 2014, the TCU men’s basketball team earned a ranking in the AP Top 25 Poll.

The Horned Frogs (6-0) made their 2017-18 debut in the national rankings at No. 23 on Monday. It was the first AP Top 25 ranking for TCU since being ranked No. 25 on Dec. 22, 2014. The No. 23 ranking is TCU’s highest since Jan. 11, 1999 when the Frogs were ranked No. 21.

TCU earned 133 points and joined four Big 12 Conference teams, No. 2 Kansas, No. 16 Baylor, No. 19 West Virginia and No. 22 Texas Tech, in this week’s rankings.

TCU boasts the longest winning streak in the nation, having won its last 11 games dating back to last season. After winning the Emerald Coast Classic over Thanksgiving weekend, head coach Jamie Dixon and the Frogs begin a three-game homestand Wednesday when they host Belmont (4-2) at 8 p.m.
