TCU Obtains Highest Ranking in Program History

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU men’s basketball earned a No. 10 ranking on Monday in the AP Top 25 Poll, the highest in program history.

The Horned Frogs (12-0) earned 923 points and jumped five spots from last week’s ranking of 15. The highest TCU had been ranked this season was No. 14 on Dec. 12. Prior to Monday, the highest TCU had ever been ranked was No. 13 on Feb. 23, 1998.

One of three undefeated teams in the nation and in possession of the nation’s longest winning streak at 17 games, TCU will open Big 12 Conference play Dec. 30 at 1 p.m. against No. 12 Oklahoma (10-1). The game will be televised on ESPN2, changed from the originally announced ESPNU. The Frogs will then play at No. 18 Baylor (10-2) on Jan. 2 at 6 p.m. and at home against No. 11 Kansas (10-2) on Jan. 6 at 8:15 p.m.
