Frogs Dominate Nevada

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Three players had career-high performances as Texas Christian beat Nevada 110-84 on Saturday night.

Bingo Merriex scored 30 points, Nucleus Smith scored 19 points and had 10 assists, and Ryan Carroll had 12 rebounds and 15 points for TCU (18-8, 7-5 WAC)

Nevada (9-15) was led by Andre Hazel, who scored a career-high 22 points for the Wolf Pack.

Merriex scored five consecutive points on a dunk and a 3-pointer to give the Horned Frogs a 67-52 lead five minutes into the second half.

The TCU win came a day after starters Greedy Daniels and Myron Anthony were dismissed from the team for undisclosed violations of team rules. It left the Horned Frogs with only seven players in the regular rotation.
