High School:





Senior leader of the defense and a candidate for post-season honors... missed much of the spring as he continued to rehab from a knee injury that cut his 2003 season short... the most experienced player in the secondary... moved to weak safety as a sophomore after playing free safety as a freshman... is a playmaker and a leader on the field... owns seven career interceptions... has 24 career starts, tying for the team lead with Anthony Alabi, Chase Johnson and Martin Patterson.

2003: Earned third team all-conference honors from the league's coaches and media members despite playing in just four games before suffering the season-ending knee injury... had an interception in each of the season's first four games along with six pass breakups and four forced fumbles... was tied for the nation's lead in interceptions at the time of his injury... logged 23 tackles including a pair behind the line of scrimmage... The Sporting News tabbed him as the seventh best player at his position prior to the start of the season.

2002: Started nine of 12 games... picked off a pass in the opener at Cincinnati, but suffered a high left ankle sprain on the return and was held out of the next two games... recorded 28 tackles including 23 solo stops... had a pair of tackles for loss including one sack... had nine pass breakups... recovered a fumble at Louisville.

2001: Earned first team Freshman all-America honors according to the FWAA and second team Freshman all-America honors by The Sporting News... also named to the Conference USA all-freshman squad... ranked among the top freshmen in the country with six sacks and 13 tackles for loss... The Sporting News called him the league's "Best Blitzer"... made seven tackles, five behind the line at Nebraska, earning the TCU MVP by ABC Sports... logged his first career interception at UAB.

2000: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: A SuperPrep Texas Top-100 selection... a Midlands all-region selection by PrepStar... listed on the Fort Worth Star-Telegram State Top 100, Austin American Statesman Fab 55 and Lone Star Recruiting Top 100... named to Dave Campbell's Texas Football Super Team... named all-district and all-city by the San Antonio Express News... recorded 126 tackles and four interceptions as a senior... had 10 picks in his final two seasons... coached by Mike Haynes... chose TCU over Nebraska, Texas A&M and Kansas.
