High School: A Dallas Morning News, Fort Worth Star-Telegram and Houston Chronicle State Top 100 choice and on Max Emfinger's Texas Top 200... a PrepStar Midlands all-region pick... named second-team on the Fort Worth Star-Telegram all area team... first team all-District 7-5A quarterback... earned first team all-state honors by the Texas Sports Writers Association... led area Class 5A quarterbacks in passing with 2,522 yards... threw 22 TDs... threw for 1,252 yards as a junior... became the all-time leading passer in Arlington ISD history, compiling 4,202 yards... coached by Ken Ozee... chose TCU over Syracuse, Notre Dame, LSU, Iowa State and Missouri.
