Senior signal-caller will compete with junior Tye Gunn for the starting quarterback honors... missed most of the spring with a foot injury but is expected to be at full speed in the fall... has great feet and quickness with a decent arm... owns a career record of 7-2 as a starter.

2003: Started nine games after injuries sidelined starter Tye Gunn... was 7-2 as a starter and the Frogs averaged 31.7 points per game in those contests... completed 136-of-240 passes (56.7 percent) for 2,039 yards and 10 touchdowns... threw for 375 yards at Houston, the eighth most prolific passing game in TCU history, with four touchdowns... completed a season-high 69.2 percent of his passes in the regular season finale at SMU, hitting on 18-of-26 pass attempts... also rushed 120 times for 369 yards and five touchdowns... logged his first career 100-yard rushing game in the bowl game against Boise State, finishing with 110 yards on the ground... appeared briefly in two collegiate games but had never thrown a pass prior to the Vanderbilt contest (game three) in 2003... ran with the first team during the entire 2003 spring drills, due to an injury to Gunn.
