2002: Moved into the starting lineup in game two against Northwestern at the "Mike" linebacker spot and never relinquished the position... ranked fifth on the squad with 53 tackles including 24 solo stops... eight of his tackles came behind the line of scrimmage, including one sack... forced a fumble against Houston... turned in his best game of the year when he recorded a season-high 11 tackles, including four behind the line of scrimmage, in the AXA Liberty Bowl win over Colorado State.
2001: One of two true freshman to get playing time for the Frogs in 2001... played behind Chad Bayer... did not play in the season-opener at Nebraska, then saw action in the remaining 11 games, including the bowl game... recorded a pair of tackles... also appeared on special teams... had to learn the linebacker position after playing defensive end in high school.
High School: All-state selection at DeSoto High School... a first team Dallas Morning News All-Area choice... all-Area Top 100 selection by the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram... a third-team Texas Football Super Team linebacker... played in the Texas/California Bowl... led his team in tackles... team captain as a senior... three-year letterman... coached by Ben Dial... chose TCU over Iowa State, New Mexico and Oklahoma State.
