A pre-season all-conference and All-America candidate... one of 64 players selected to the "Watch List" for the Bronko Nagurski Award, given to the nation's top defensive player... possesses natural instinct and is seemingly always around the ball... has great quickness making him difficult to block... has made 113 career tackles, including 28 tackles for loss and seven sacks in two seasons... has made 11 career starts.

2001: The Waco product earned second team all-conference honors after finishing second on the squad with 80 tackles... an incredible 25 of those tackles accounted for 108 lost yards... led Conference USA and tied for fourth in the nation in tackles for loss, while his 108 yards was the second highest single season mark in school history, behind only Aaron Schobel's 113 yards in 1998... also led the team with six sacks, which tied for sixth in the league, and added four quarterback hurries... notched 5 1/2 tackles for losses totaling 43 yards in the win over conference champion Louisville, including 3 1/2 sacks for 27 yards, earning Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week accolades... his efforts helped the Frogs set a school record by holding the Cardinals to -47 yards rushing... started and finished the season in impressive fashion on national TV... tied for the team lead with eight tackles including four for losses that totaled 16 yards in the opener at Nebraska... recorded a game-high 17 tackles, including six for losses in the Bowl vs. Texas A&M... recovered a fumble in the endzone at SMU for his first career touchdown.

2000: Finished ninth on the team with 33 tackles... had three tackles for losses of eight yards and one sack... had one quarterback pressure and forced one fumble... saw action in 11 of 12 games... contributed at linebacker and special teams.

High School: A third-team linebacker on Dave Campbell's 1998 Texas Football Super Team... earned PrepStar All-America honors... first team Associated Press Class 5A All-State linebacker... also earned All Super Cen-Tex Defensive Player of the Year honors... first team all-district... named MVP in the district... had 154 tackles, five interceptions and recovered three fumbles as a senior... recorded 110 total tackles, 45 solos, and three sacks as a junior... coached by Johnny Tusa... chose TCU over Oklahoma State and Baylor.
