High School: An honorable-mention all-state selection and the District 10-4A Offensive Most Valuable Player as a senior ... utilized at running back, wide receiver and as a wildcat quarterback in addition to punt returns and kickoff returns ... ranked sixth in the state in Division 4A rushing by Max Preps with 1,502 yards, averaging eight yards per carry ... added 44 receptions for 400 yards ... scored 27 touchdowns ... averaged 31 yards per kickoff return and 15 yards on punt returns ... totaled 5,224 all-purpose yards and 45 touchdowns in his career at Highland Park ... holds school records for single-game rushing yards (249), career rushing yards (3,145), single game all-purpose yards (382), single season all-purpose yards (2,552) and career all-purpose yards (5,224) ... the only sophomore to be awarded the Tom Landry Classic Offensive MVP with 167 yards rushing, 30 yards receiving and three touchdowns ... was a two-year regional qualifier in the long jump and 4x200 ... earned a combined eight letters in football, track and field and baseball ... other Highland Park graduates include football standouts Doak Walker, Bobby Layne and Matthew Stafford.
