The most experienced defensive back on the squad, he made seven starts in 2004 and owns 23 career starts, second among all returning players... enters the fall battling with Elvis Gallegos for the starting nod at free safety... owns 152 career tackles and two interceptions.

Made seven starts and played in 10 games... injured his left hand during fall two-a-days, but played through the injury... recorded 33 tackles, including a season-high six against both Texas Tech and USF.

Started all 13 games at free safety... second on the team in tackles with 99, including a team-high 72 solo stops... had 2.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage... intercepted a pair of passes... picked off a pass in overtime at Arizona, setting up TCU's victory... also had an interception against Houston... credited with four pass breakups and recovered one fumble... reached double digits in tackles four times, including a season-high 13 stops against Louisville.

Split time with Marvin Godbolt at weak safety as a redshirt freshman... started three games when Godbolt was injured... recorded 20 tackles, including 16 solo stops... had three tackles for losses, including one sack, and broke up three passes.

Jeremy Lance Modkins is the son of Lorene and Curtis Modkins, Sr... born May 19, 1982... brother, Curtis, is a former standout running back at TCU and an assistant coach at Georgia Tech... is a speech communications major at TCU.
