2007: Started all 13 games ... closed the year with a sack among two stops in the 20-13 Texas Bowl win over Houston ... had a season-best four tackles, all solo, including a sack against Utah ... also had a 6-yard sack as part of two stops versus UNLV ... had tackles for a loss at Texas and Stanford ... added a quarterback hurry against the Longhorns ... broke-up passes versus Colorado State and BYU ... posted three solo stops in the 37-0 win over New Mexico ... also totaled three tackles at Air Force ... had at least one tackle in all but one contest on the year.

2006: Started three games... two of the starts (Baylor, Utah) came at defensive tackle... started at nose tackle against San Diego State in place of an under-the-weather Jarrarcea Williams... took part in a stop behind the line of scrimmage in six games... had two tackles for a loss, including a sack, in the 37-7 Poinsettia Bowl win over Northern Illinois... recorded sacks in back-to-back contests against Wyoming and UNLV... combined on tackles for a loss against Baylor and UC Davis... also had a quarterback hurry versus Baylor... recovered fumbles against Texas Tech and Air Force... totaled three tackles, including one for a loss, in the win at New Mexico.

2005: Saw action in 10 games... missed two contests due to injury... had a tackle for a 10-yard loss in the 38-17 win over Army (Oct. 15)... totaled two stops against the Black Knights... was also in on a tackle behind the line of scrimmage in the 23-20 overtime victory versus Utah (Sept. 15).

2004: Redshirted as a true freshman.

High School: Earned all-district honors three times as a defensive end, once at running back (2002) and once at tight end (2003) for head coach Paul Talbert at Comfort High... lettered four times in football, baseball and track & field and three times in basketball... was the District 26-2A Offensive Player of the Year and a first team all-state pick in 2003... was an all-district catcher in baseball and a district champion in the shot and discus... was the state shot put champion and finished sixth in the discus as a junior.

Personal: Parents are Chris and Karen Espinosa... is an art education major.
