Walk-on who moved from safety to linebacker prior to the 2003 season... also used on special teams... intelligent player with good speed and coverage skills... listed as the third team "Sam" linebacker entering the fall.

2004:
Played in 10 games, primarily on special teams, but got his first career starting nod in the season finale against Tulane... recorded nine tackles on the season, including six solo stops... six of the nine tackles came against the Green Wave.

2003:
Lettered as a redshirt freshman... had seven tackles, including four solo stops... saw action on special teams as well as at linebacker... played in 12 of the 13 games... did not see action in the bowl game.

2002:
Redshirted as a true freshman... named the MVP on the scout team defense.

High School:
Graduated from Northwest High in Justin where he lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track... prep football coach was Terry Goode... was an all-district running back in both 2001 and 2002... earned all-area and all-Wise County honors in 2000... named the 2000 team MVP and was his school's 2002 Outstanding Student-Athlete... rushed for 1,109 yards as a junior and 901 yards as a senior.
