TCU and Air Force met for the second consecutive time in MWC action. The teams closed the regular season last year in Fort Worth before opening MWC play tonight in Colorado Springs.
For the second-consecutive game, quarterback Andy Dalton recorded career highs in completions (29) and yards (320). He also set personal bests in attempts (45) and touchdown passes (two).
Stephen Hodge recorded the first punt block of his collegiate career in the first quarter. It was TCU's first punt block of the season. The Frogs blocked three punts last year.
Chris Manfredini's first-quarter 39-yard field goal was a season-long kick. He had a streak of five consecutive makes snapped when a third-quarter attempt was blocked. Manfredini is now 30-of-35 in his TCU career and 40-of-46 overall when including his one season (2003) at Cincinnati.
Steven Coleman's interception on the first play of the second quarter was his second pick of the season and fifth of his career. Dating back to last season, he has four interceptions in the last seven games.
Andy Dalton's 5-yard second-quarter touchdown pass to Ervin Dickerson was his second collegiate scoring toss with both going to Dickerson. They also represent the first two touchdown receptions for the senior wide receiver. The duo first hooked up in the season-opening 27-0 win over Baylor.
Dalton added an 11-yard fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Walter Bryant. It was Bryant's first career scoring reception.
Ryan Christian had career-high totals of six receptions for 74 yards.
Shae Reagan's 13-yard third-quarter reception kept his streak alive in which all 17 of his career receptions have resulted in first downs.
Redshirt freshman defensive tackle Cory Grant recorded his first collegiate sack.
