*Josh Boyce became TCU's career leader in touchdown receptions at 18 with his 6-yard scoring catch in the second quarter. Boyce broke the mark of 17 held by Mike Renfro (1974-77) and Cory Rodgers (2003-05).
*Boyce had four receptions for his 23rd consecutive game with at least one catch.
*Brandon Carter went over 100 yards receiving for the second-straight game and thirdtime in his career. He had five receptions, including two one-handed grabs, for 128 yards and a 68-yard touchdown.
*Carter's 68-yard first-quarter touchdown reception was the second-longest play of his career, trailing only a 75-yard scoring catch at Boise State last season.
*Carter's 68-yard touchdown catch was TCU's longest play from scrimmage this season, surpassing a 66-yard touchdown pass from Casey Pachall to Boyce against Grambling State.
*A 17-yard second-quarter run by Pachall marked his longest carry since 2010, when he went 22 yards against Tennessee Tech in his collegiate debut.
*Pachall became the first TCU quarterback to throw for 300 or more yards in consecutive games since Casey Printers in 2001 versus East Carolina (319) and UAB (310).
*Kenny Cain took part in three takeaways. He had his first two interceptions of the season while also recovering a fumble. Cain has three career picks and is the only current Horned Frog with more than one career interception.
*Cain is the first TCU linebacker with two interceptions in a game under Gary Patterson as head coach. The last Horned Frog linebacker with two picks in a game was Chad Bayer on Nov. 20, 1999 versus UTEP, the same contest LaDainian Tomlinson set an NCAA record with 406 yards rushing.
*Cain is the eighth player with two interceptions in a game in the Patterson head coaching era.
*With eight stops, linebacker Joel Hasley led the Horned Frogs in tackles for the second-straight game. He totaled 12 stops at Kansas.
*Elisha Olabode took part in a takeaway for the third straight game this season with a forced fumble in the second quarter. Olabode had an interception in the season opener against Grambling State and recovered a fumble at Kansas.
*True freshman Devonte Fields recorded a sack in the third-straight game to represent the lone Horned Frog with a sack in each contest this season.
*Jaden Oberkrom had career-long 46- and 47-yard field goals. It was the Horned Frogs' longest made kicks since Ross Evans was successful from 47 yards at San Diego State last season. Oberkrom is now 4-of-5 on field goals this season.
*Tailback Aundre Dean and tight end Griffin Gilbert made their first collegiate starts.
