Team Notes
*The Horned Frogs have now won 12 in a row, the nation's second-longest active winning streak (Ohio State, 17).
 
*Since 1980, TCU head coach Gary Patterson leads all college football coaches with the most 12-game winning streaks (6), breaking a tie with Bobby Bowden.
 
*TCU is 34-3 when taking the field as a top-10 team under Patterson, including a 23-1 mark as a top-5 team.
 
*Trevone Boykin's 9-yard scoring pass to Josh Doctson extended TCU's streak to 17 games with a first-quarter touchdown, ranking second nationally behind USC (18).
 
*TCU scored for the 284th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).
 
*TCU topped 700 yards in offense for a second straight game as it totaled 750 on the day. The Horned Frogs have now reached 700 yards six times in their history. Four of the six occasions have come in the last two seasons, including twice against Texas Tech.
 
*For the first time in their history, the Horned Frogs have scored at least 55 points in three straight games.
 
*The 750 yards of total offense were the third most in program history.

*It was the third straight game TCU has surpassed 600 yards in total offense, posting 627 against Stephen F. Austin and 720 versus SMU.

*TCU's 38 first downs marked the second-best total in its history, behind only the 39 against San Diego State in 2007.

*The Horned Frogs' 103 plays from scrimmage were second most in school history, trailing only the 111 versus San Diego State in 2007. It was TCU's third game ever with 100 snaps.

*TCU tied a school record for first downs via passing with 24. The original mark was set against UTA in 1971.
 
*TCU recorded its first safety since the 2010 season opener against Oregon State.
 
*TCU became the first team to post a sack against Texas Tech this year.
 
*TCU's team captains were Trevone Boykin, Joey Hunt, Derrick Kindred and Davion Pierson. Dating back to last season, Boykin and Hunt have been captains in the Horned Frogs' last 17 games.
 
*For the first time, TCU wore a white helmet with a white jersey and purple pants. 

Individual Notes
*Trevone Boykin's first quarter 9-yard scoring toss to Josh Doctson extended his nation's-best streak to 19 consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
 
*Boykin's four touchdown passes gave him 69 for his career, two shy of Andy Dalton's TCU record (71, 2007-10).
 
*Boykin, who leads all active players nationally in total offense, went over the 10,000 mark for his career. He's now at 10,250 yards. He had 527 yards of total offense today.
 
*Boykin set new career highs for completions (34), attempts (54) and yards passing (485). The 485 yards rank second for a game in TCU history, trailing only the 690 by Matt Vogler against Houston in 1990.
 
*Boykin topped the 400-yard mark for the second straight game and extended his TCU record to five career efforts with that total.
 
*Doctson had a record-breaking day with 18 receptions for 267 yards and three touchdowns.
 
*Doctson's 267 yards receiving broke the TCU single-game mark of 226, set by Jimmy Young against Wyoming in 2008.
 
*Doctson tied TCU's single-game record for receptions, held by Richard Woodley versus Texas Tech in 1990. The Big 12 mark of 18 was also tied. It was previously accomplished by Albert Connell of Texas A&M versus Colorado in 1996.
 
*Entering today's games, the national high for receptions in a game this season had been 16.
 
*Doctson's three touchdown catches gave him 21 in his career, ranking second on the Horned Frogs' all-time list. He trails only Josh Boyce (22, 2010-12).
 
*Doctson is the first Horned Frog with at least 10 receptions in a game since Trevone Boykin had 11 catches against West Virginia in 2013.
 
*Doctson is the first Horned Frog with three touchdown receptions in a game since Josh Boyce at Boise State in 2011.
 
*Doctson is the fifth player in the Gary Patterson era to catch three touchdowns in a game.

*Doctson went over 2,000 yards receiving at TCU. His total of 2,051 ranks ninth in school history.
 
*Doctson has at least eight receptions in three of the last six games. He has topped the 100-yard mark in four of the last seven contests.
 
*Doctson had his second 200-yard receiving game. He had 225 yards against Oklahoma State last season.
 
*Aaron Green had 162 yards rushing to top the 100-yard mark for the second straight game and sixth time in his last 11 contests. He ran for 164 yards versus SMU last week.
 
*Green had two rushing touchdowns for the third consecutive game.
 
*Green accounted for three touchdowns in the game. He caught the game-winning touchdown off a tip by Doctson with 23 seconds remaining. It was Green's first touchdown grab of the season and fourth of his TCU career. He also had one for Nebraska in 2011.
 
*Jaden Oberkrom's 42-yard field goal made him 24-of-34 for his career on attempts of at least 40 yards. The 70.6 percentage ranks third in Big 12 history.
 
*Safety Michael Downing, defensive end Bryson Henderson and cornerback Corry O'Meally made their first career starts.
