* TCU is 42-5 as a top-10 team under Patterson.

* The Horned Frogs fell to 23-20 against ranked teams under Patterson, including a 9-6 mark over the last four seasons.

* TCU lost for just the second time in its last nine road games.

* The Horned Frogs are now 16-10 on the road in their Big 12 history.

* TCU allowed just 255 yards of offense, including only 40 in the second half.

* The Horned Frogs did not lead at the half for the first time this season.

* An Iowa State touchdown on its second series snapped a streak of eight consecutive quarters in which TCU did not allow a touchdown. The Horned Frogs have not surrendered a touchdown in 10 of their last 12 quarters.

* A Jeff Gladney interception was TCU's eighth of the season, equaling its total from last year.

* Sacks by Innis Gaines and Mat Boesen gave TCU at least one sack in 49 of its last 51 games.

* TCU scored for the 314th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).

* Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU is 4-2 versus Iowa State.

* TCU wore a white jersey with white pants and a purple matte helmet.

Individual Notes
* KaVontae Turpin had a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown on the second-half kickoff. It was his first career score in that manner and the first kickoff return for a touchdown by a Horned Frog since B.J. Catalon went 94 yards at Baylor in 2014.

* Turpin's four combined kickoff and punt returns for touchdowns tie LaTarence Dunbar (1999-02) for the most in TCU history.

* Turpin is tied for TCU's lead in career punt returns for a touchdown with three.

* Darius Anderson's 95 yards on 12 carries led TCU in rushing for the sixth time this season.

* John Diarse's two receptions for 25 yards extended his team-best streak to 22 consecutive games with a catch. It includes his final contest at LSU in 2015.

* Desmon White had two receptions for 30 yards to give him a catch in 18 consecutive games, the second-longest active streak (Diarse, 22) for the Horned Frogs.

* Jaelan Austin recorded a team-best three receptions for 39 yards.

* Ty Summers had a team-best 11 tackles, his 12th career game in double figures which ties Travin Howard for the active lead among current Horned Frogs.

* Jeff Gladney had the first interception of his career.

* Mat Boesen had a sack for the third consecutive game. His four sacks on the season are second on the team (Ben Banogu, 4 1/2).

* Banogu recorded a tackle for loss, giving him at least one in each game this season. He has a team-best 9 1/2 tackles for loss on the season.
