TCU FOOTBALL POST-GAME NOTES
No. 15 TCU vs. Kansas
Attendance: 44,375
Final: TCU 23, Kansas 17

Team Notes
*TCU is 9-1 or better for the fifth time in the last eight seasons.

*KaVontae Turpin's 49-yard punt return extended TCU's nation's-best streak to 23 games with a first-quarter touchdown. It's a Big 12 record and the nation's second-longest streak since 1996 (Stanford, 25, 2009-11).

*Turpin's 49-yard punt return marked the third time in the last four seasons TCU has returned a punt for a touchdown. The Horned Frogs have returned either a punt or kickoff for a touchdown in eight of the last nine seasons.

*TCU had three sacks and now has at least one sack in 27 consecutive games, breaking the school record of 26 set from 2007-09. It is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the nation.

*TCU is now 99-3 when allowing 17 points or less under Gary Patterson as head coach. It is the fifth time this season that TCU has held an opponent to 17 points or less, including three times in Big 12 play.

*The Horned Frogs rushed for a season-high 279 yards, the ninth time in 10 games they've topped 200 yards. TCU is now 79-5 when rushing for at least 200 yards under Patterson.

*For the second straight week, TCU held its opponent to three first downs or less in the second half. TCU limited Kansas to three first downs and just 102 yards today while holding Oklahoma State to two first downs and 122 yards last week.

*TCU limited Kansas to just 3-of-17 on third down conversions.

*TCU scored for the 290th consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).

*TCU's seniors were recognized in a pregame ceremony.

*TCU's team captains were Trevone Boykin, Joey Hunt, Derrick Kindred and Davion Pierson. Dating back to last season, Boykin and Hunt have been captains in the Horned Frogs' last 23 games.

*TCU wore a purple chrome helmet with a lizard skin jersey and lizard skin pants.

Individual Notes
*Trevone Boykin's five completions gave him 812 in his career, tying him with Andy Dalton (2007-10) for the TCU career record.

*Boykin's TCU record streak of 24 consecutive games with a touchdown pass came to an end.

*Aaron Green had a career-best 177 yards on 30 carries for his fourth 100-yard game of the season and eighth of his TCU career. It was the most yards by a Horned Frog since Waymon James ran for 181 yards at Wyoming in 2011.

*With his eighth career 100-yard rushing game, Green is now tied with Mike Luttrell (1972-74) for the ninth most 100-yard rushing games in TCU history.

*Green's 30 carries were the most by a Horned Frog since Joseph Turner had 33 at San Diego State in 2007.

*Green had his third game this season with at least 160 yards rushing.

*Green's 177 yards rushing pushed him over 2,000 in his TCU career. He's now at 2,127.

*Green's 177 rushing yards tied for the 15th-most in a game in program history.

*Foster Sawyer's first collegiate touchdown pass was a fourth quarter 42-yard completion to Shaun Nixon.

*With seven catches for 78 yards, Nixon led TCU in receiving for the second straight game. His 42-yard fourth-quarter touchdown catch was his first collegiate score.

*Josh Doctson's one reception gave him 180 in his career, one shy of TCU's career record of 181 held by Kelly Blackwell (1988-91).

*KaVontae Turpin's career-long 49-yard punt return was TCU's first for a touchdown since Cameron Echols-Luper went 69 yards at Kansas last season.

*Jaden Oberkrom's field goals of 42, 38 and 36 yards gave him 74 in his career, moving him past Colorado's Mason Crosby (71, 2003-06) into sole possession of second place on the Big 12's all-time list. Oklahoma's Michael Hunnicutt is the leader with 75 (2011-14). Oberkrom holds the TCU career mark.

*Aaron Curry had a career-high two sacks.

*Terrell Lathan's sack on the final possession for Kansas gave him 13 1/2 in his career, the most among active Horned Frogs.

*Ty Summers had his first career interception in the final three minutes of the game to help seal the victory. He is the fifth different TCU player with a pick this season and is among nine active Horned Frogs with an interception in their career.

*Tailback Trevorris Johnson and offensive guard Austin Schlottman made their first career starts.
