Team Notes
* It was the 200th game as TCU's head coach for Gary Patterson. He is 148-52 in 16 seasons.

* The Horned Frogs are now 22-19 against ranked opponents under Patterson, including an 8-6 mark over the last three seasons.

* A first quarter combined sack by Josh Carraway and Chris Bradley extended TCU's school-record streak to 40 games with at least one sack. It is tied with Clemson for the nation’s longest active streak.

* TCU scored for the 303rd consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).

* The Horned Frogs fell to 12-3 in games following an open date under Patterson.

* TCU's team captains were Josh Carraway, Kyle Hicks, Denzel Johnson and Austin Schlottmann.

* TCU wore a Nike lizard skin jersey with white pants and a purple chrome helmet.

Individual Notes
* KaVontae Turpin’s 4-yard first quarter scoring grab was his first touchdown reception of the season and ninth of his career.

* Kenny Hill’s 40-yard second quarter carry tied a season-long, set in the Horned Frogs’ previous game at Baylor.

* Hill had a team-best 79 yards rushing on eight carries.

* Emanuel Porter tied a career-high with his team-best four receptions, previously set in the 2016 Valero Alamo Bowl. His 50 receiving yards were three shy of his career-high, also in last year's bowl game versus Oregon.

* Denzel Johnson had a team-best and career-high 15 stops. His two tackles for loss gave him a team-high 11 on the season.

* Ty Summers had 14 tackles to reach double figures in stops for the seventh time in the last nine games.

* A half sack by Josh Carraway gave him a team-best seven on the season.

* Chris Bradley’s half sack gave him 2 1/2 for the year.

* Travin Howard and Joseph Broadnax combined on a sack.

* Paul Whitmill had a fumble recovery, his first of the season and second of his career.
