TCU FOOTBALL POST-GAME NOTES
No. 19 TCU vs. No. 7 Baylor
Nov. 27, 2015
Attendance: 47,675
Final: TCU 28, Baylor 21 (2 OT)

Team Notes
*TCU closes the regular season at 10-2 to reach the 10-win mark for the sixth time in the last eight years and 10th time in 15 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson. Prior to his arrival on campus in 1998, TCU had just four 10-win seasons in its history.

*TCU has won five of its last seven games against ranked teams with Patterson improving to 20-17 overall against ranked opponents.

*The Horned Frogs extended their home winning streak to 13 games, third-longest in the nation among Power 5 programs.

*Trevone Boykin's 25-yard touchdown pass to Jarrison Stewart extended TCU's nation's-best streak to 25 games with a first-quarter touchdown. It's a Big 12 record and ties for the nation's longest streak since 1996 (Stanford, 25, 2009-11).

*A first-quarter sack by Davion Pierson extended TCU's school record streak to 29 consecutive games with at least one sack. It is the fourth-longest active streak in the nation.

*Josh Carraway's 56-yard fumble return for a touchdown was TCU's 28th non-offensive touchdown since 2010, ranking seventh nationally.

*TCU scored for the 292nd consecutive game. It's the nation's second-longest current streak and fourth all-time in NCAA history. The Horned Frogs haven't been blanked since Nov. 16, 1991 at Texas (32-0).

*Tonight's attendance of 47,675 was the seventh-largest in Amon G. Carter Stadium history and TCU's fifth sellout in six home games this season.

*TCU held Baylor to a season-low 21 points and their lowest total in a game since 2013.

*The Horned Frogs limited the Bears to 62 yards passing, their lowest total since 2002.

*TCU held seven Big 12 teams to 10 points or less in the second half of games this season.

*TCU is now 7-7 since the NCAA adopted overtime play in 1996 and 6-6 under Patterson as head coach. The Horned Frogs played their first overtime contest since 2013 against West Virginia.

*This was the first time TCU and Baylor played an overtime game. The all-time series is now tied 52-52-7.

*TCU's team captains were Trevone Boykin, Derrick Kindred, Davion Pierson and Halapoulivaati Vaitai.

*TCU wore a purple chrome helmet with a black jersey and purple pants.

*The start of the game was delayed 45 minutes due to lightning and had a 7:20 p.m. kickoff.

*The official temperature at kickoff was 38 degrees with heavy rain occurring throughout the game.

Individual Notes
*Trevone Boykin's 14-yard completion to Jarrison Stewart, his first completion of the game, broke Andy Dalton's TCU career record (812, 2007-10) for completions. Boykin is now at 830.

*Boykin returned to the starting lineup after missing last week's game at Oklahoma due to injury. He made his team-best 40th career start.

*Boykin had his career-high ninth rushing touchdown of the season and 27th of his career, ranking seventh in TCU history.

*Stewart's first career touchdown was a 25-yard catch from Boykin in the first quarter.

*KaVontae Turpin's 8-yard touchdown reception from Boykin in the second overtime was his eighth of the season.

*Josh Carraway's 56-yard fumble return for a score was his second career touchdown. He returned an interception for a score at Texas last season.

*Carraway later had a sack and forced a fumble after Baylor drove to the TCU 19 in the fourth quarter.

*Ty Summers and Travin Howard had career-high tackle totals of 23 and 19, respectively.

*The 23 tackles by Summers were the most under Gary Patterson as head coach while ranking in a tie for sixth for a single game at TCU.

*Summers' 23 tackles were the most in a game since Scott Taft tied a single-game TCU record with 30 stops versus UTEP in 1997. It also tied for the most by a Big 12 player since the start of the 2000 season.

*Howard's 19 tackles were a career high and the fourth-most under Patterson.

*Davion Pierson, in his final home game, had a career-high 13 tackles, including 3 1/2 for loss, with a sack and fumble recovery. It was his second fumble recovery of the season and third of his career.

*Denzel Johnson tied a career-high with 10 tackles, including 2 1/2 for loss.

*Nick Orr had his first interception of the season and second of his career.

*Paul Whitmill had his first career fumble recovery.

*Derrick Kindred had his first fumble recovery of the season and fourth of his career.

*Ethan Perry had a career-high 12 punts with four placed inside the 20.
