Seven Frogs in NFL Playoffs
Jan. 5, 2013
FORT WORTH, Texas -- Seven of TCU's 14 active players in the National Football League are on rosters for teams heading into the playoffs.
Dalton led TCU to conscutive BCS appearances, including a 2011 Rose Bowl championship, in his final two seasons as a Horned Frog. A 2011 Pro Bowl selection, he has now directed the Bengals to their first back-to-back trips to the playoffs since 1981-82.
Dalton's 27 touchdown passes this season rank third in the AFC and are tied for seventh in the NFL. He's tied for third in the NFL with nine fourth-quarter scoring tosses. His four rushing touchdowns are the most by a Bengals' quarterback since Jon Kitna in 2002.
Outside linebacker Jerry Hughes started six games for the Indianapolis Colts this season, recording four sacks among his 41 tackles.
Marcus Cannon made one start while playing in all 16 games at offensive tackle for New England this season. Cannon is joined on the Patriots by former Horned Frog teammate Malcolm Williams, who has two tackles in two games as a defensive back and special teams contributor.
Clint Gresham has started in all 48 games at long snapper over his three seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
Tight end Logan Brock is on the practice squad for the Houston Texans.
In 2011, ESPN.com ranked TCU No. 1 in the nation for developing NFL talent.
