FORT WORTH, Texas-- The TCU Athletics Department announced new season ticket offerings and pricing levels for the 2012 football season and a comprehensive reseating plan of Amon G. Carter Stadium.

Following a $164 million stadium redevelopment project, the 2012 football season will mark TCU's first as a member institution of the Big 12 Conference.

Most season tickets for the six-game home schedule will be priced at $200 per ticket and some seats will require an additional annual seat donation under the newly implemented Scholarship Seating Program. The program - which helps fund TCU student-athlete scholarships - consists of eight annual donation levels on the east and west sides and covers approximately 25 percent of the stadium's total seating capacity. Donation levels range from $25 to $300 and count toward annual TCU Frog Club membership. All participants in the Scholarship Seating Program will receive Horned Frog Priority Points and tax deductions in addition to other amenities including chair back and bench back seats with premium field views.

Frog Zone Packages with seats located in the South End Zone (formerly known as the family package) are available for purchase for $150 per seat and will be sold in groups of four tickets. Individual game ticket prices will be announced shortly after the release of the Big 12 Conference football schedule.

"Our 2012 football season ticket prices are the best entertainment value in the entire Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex," said TCU director of intercollegiate athletics Chris Del Conte. "Our prices are the most affordable in the Big 12 Conference and, in many cases, the price of the ticket actually decreased compared to the 2011 price.

"We are confident that our fans will be thrilled with the new seating options. The overall game-day experience at Amon G. Carter Stadium will be one-of-a-kind and unmatched in college football."

Beginning in March, the TCU Athletics Department will begin reseating Amon G. Carter Stadium beginning with last year's 2011 season ticket holders. Based on the Horned Frog Priority Points System, each season ticket account holder will be given an exclusive seat selection time based on their respective June 1, 2011 Horned Frog Priority Points ranking. Account holders will be required to designate how they prefer to select their seats in one of three ways in advance of their seat selection time - online, via telephone appointment, or in person - before February 6, 2012. All current season ticket holders are allowed to purchase their 2011 allotment of season tickets plus up to an additional four tickets.

Following the reseating of season ticket holders, non-season ticket holders who maintain priority points accounts will be given an exclusive time period to select seats in early May 2012. TCU Alumni and new season ticket holders who made a season ticket deposit will also be given exclusive opportunities to select seats before season tickets are placed on sale to the general public in June 2012.

A comprehensive informational packet explaining 2012 football season ticket options, pricing and required selection procedures is scheduled to be mailed to season ticket holders in mid-January.
