CHICAGO -- Former TCU quarterback Andy Dalton will be one of 12 recent college football standouts to take part in the 13th-annual All-Star Football Challenge.

The Feb. 4 event will be held at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, and air at 6 p.m. CST on ESPN2.

Joining Dalton in the competition are fellow quarterbacks Jake Locker (Washington) and Ryan Mallett (Arkansas), wide receivers Julio Jones (Alabama) and Austin Pettis (Boise State), running back Jordan Todman (Connecticut), linebackers Ross Homan (Ohio State), Von Miller (Texas A&M) and Kelvin Sheppard (LSU) and defensive linemen Sam Acho (Texas), Nick Fairley (Auburn) and Ryan Kerrigan (Purdue).

Dalton will compete in a quarterback accuracy challenge against Locker and Mallett, before taking part in offensive and defensive team competitions. The participants will then be divided into two squads for a full team competition.

Dalton concluded his TCU career as the Rose Bowl Offensive Most Valuable Player in the Horned Frogs' 21-19 win over Wisconsin. It was his third bowl game MVP award.

The holder of every major TCU passing record, Dalton had a 42-7 record as a starting quarterback. He is the Horned Frogs' all-time leader in wins. He was also the nation's leader in career victories among active quarterbacks this past season.

Dalton and former TCU teammates Jeremy Kerley and Jake Kirkpatrick are currently in Mobile, Ala., at the Senior Bowl.
