Djuricek, Summers Earn FCA Award

FORT WORTH, Texas --Soccer's Tijana Djuricek and football's Ty Summers were named the TCU Fellowship of Christian Athletes Bob Lilly Athletes of the Year award recipients for the 2017-18 academic year.

Djuricek received the award after her first year at TCU. The freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia started every match for the Horned Frogs and ranked second on the team in minutes played. Djuricek scored one goal and totaled three assists and capped off her freshman season with Big 12 All- Freshman honors.

Summers is a redshirt junior from San Antonio and has been a key part of TCU's defense since arriving in 2015. During the 2017 season he played in all 14 games and started nine, while racking up 64 tackles and four sacks on the year. He was an All- Big 12 Second Team and Academic All-Big 12 selection.
