IRVING, Texas -- TCU football student-athletes Jon Koontz and John Wooldridge have received membership into the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame's Hampshire Honor Society.
The Hampshire Honor Society is comprised of college football players who maintained a cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or better throughout their collegiate career.
Koontz and Wooldridge both played the 2013 season as graduate students.
Koontz arrived at TCU as a walk-on, before earning a scholarship and becoming a team captain. The Aledo, Texas, native started all 12 games at defensive end last season. He placed third on the Horned Frogs with career-best totals of nine tackles for loss and four sacks.
Wooldridge, from Houston, made five starts at offensive guard while appearing in all 12 games.
