Gary Patterson Foundation Benefit Set
May 23, 2010
FORT WORTH, Texas -- The Gary Patterson Foundation will host the fifth-annual Gary Patterson Foundation Benefit Reception & Auction on July 13 at Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant in Fort Worth.
The annual fundraiser has sold out the last two years.
Major sponsors who have contributed to the success of the event over the years include Joe T. Garcia's, Fort Worth, Texas magazine and National Republic Distributing, as well as countless friends and supporters who participate each year through purchasing table sponsorships, individual tickets or auction items.
With the funds raised at the annual event, the Gary Patterson Foundation supports youth organizations across Tarrant County. In 2009, grants from the Foundation benefitted children with disabilities and provided playground equipment for schools. Funds were also used for workshops and seminars on the importance of education and staying in school.
"We have some incredible people in our community who work with kids in less fortunate situations," Patterson said. "We feel our Foundation can help those people reach their goals."
"The Gary Patterson Foundation is committed to helping children in the Metroplex," said Kelsey Patterson, Foundation secretary and treasurer. "We should provide every child that has a desire to succeed with an outlet to do so. To be able to provide opportunities for these children, that they otherwise may not have had, is the Foundation's purpose."
