IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference has announced the kickoff times and TV plans for the TCU football team's opening two games of the 2014 season as well as the Thanksgiving contest at Texas.

The Horned Frogs' Aug. 30 season opener with Samford will have a 6 p.m. kickoff and be televised on FOX Sports Net. The Sept. 13 home date with Minnesota is a 3 p.m. game on FOX Sports 1. TCU's Nov. 27 game at Texas will have a 6:30 p.m. kickoff and also be televised on FS1.

Samford is coached by Pat Sullivan, who was TCU's head coach from 1992-97 and led the Horned Frogs to a share of the 1994 Southwest Conference championship.

Following an open date, TCU will host Minnesota on Sept. 13. The Horned Frogs and Golden Gophers have met just once previously, a 9-7 Minnesota win in Minneapolis in 1974. The Golden Gophers will be the first Big Ten team to play at Amon G. Carter Stadium since Northwestern in 2004. TCU will play at Minnesota in 2015.
