IRVING, Texas -- TCU football great Kenneth Davis appears on the ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

Davis finished fifth in 1984 Heisman Trophy voting as he earned consensus first-team All-America honors. He rushed for a then-school record 1,611 yards and 16 touchdowns on a 7.6 per carry average. The 1,611 yards still rank third for a single season in TCU history, trailing only LaDainian Tomlinson's totals of 2,158 and 1,850 in 2000 and 1999, respectively.

A Temple, Texas, native, Davis is fifth in TCU history with 2,994 yards rushing. His 24 rushing touchdowns place eighth.

Davis played nine seasons in the NFL and made four Super Bowl appearances with the Buffalo Bills.
