Ethan Perry

July 10, 2013

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- TCU's Ethan Perry has been named to the watch list for the 2013 Ray Guy Award, presented to the nation's top punter.

TCU is one of just eight schools nationally to have both its punter and placekicker (Jaden Oberkrom) on watch lists for this year's Ray Guy Award and Lou Groza Award, respectively.

Perry was a Freshman All-American and honorable-mention All-Big 12 selection last season. His 44.5-yard average ranked second among freshmen nationally and 14th overall in the NCAA. It was the second-best average in a season in TCU history, trailing only the school record of 46.1 by Chris Becker in 1986.

Twenty of Perry's 63 punts went at least 50 yards with 19 placed inside the opponent 20.

A Spring Branch, Texas, native, Perry totaled five punts of at least 60 yards, including a pair of season-long 64-yard efforts.
