TCU Football Set to Open Camp

FORT WORTH, Texas -- The TCU football team reports to campus Sunday for the start of its preseason camp.

Sunday's itinerary begins with a 10:30 a.m. NCAA Compliance meeting. TCU head coach Gary Patterson and select players and assistant coaches will then participate in a media luncheon and availability. The afternoon schedule includes physicals, equipment disbursement and team meetings.

The Horned Frogs will hit the practice field for the first time Monday at 4 p.m. Classes at TCU begin Aug. 25.

The Horned Frogs open the 2014 campaign on Aug. 30 versus Samford at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

TCU returns 15 starters from last year's squad, including nine on a defensive unit that led the Big 12 in run defense while placing second in total defense.
