FORT WORTH, Texas -- The Gary Patterson Foundation celebrated giving back at its July 17 benefit reception and auction at Joe T. Garcia's Mexican Restaurant.

The annual event was hosted by TCU head football coach Gary Patterson and his wife, Kelsey.

"This night was just about getting a lot of our advocates together, expressing our appreciation and celebrating giving back in our community," Kelsey Patterson, Foundation secretary and treasurer, said. "This is one of our favorite opportunities to say thank you to all the people who support our philanthropic efforts."

All proceeds from the event support local organizations that provide positive educational, physical fitness and life-skills opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth in the Fort Worth and surrounding communities.

"We wanted to reinforce that it takes a team effort to make a difference," Gary Patterson said. "Everyone who attended the event is part of the Foundation family."

The Pattersons thanked Joe T. Garcia's, Jack Daniels and Cami and John Goff, the event underwriters, for making the event possible.
