FORT WORTH, Texas -- GoFrogs.com continues its preview of the 2014 TCU football team with a look at the tight ends.

Veteran Cliff Murphy (6-4, 288, Sr.) and Buck Jones (6-4, 240, So.) entered fall camp atop the depth chart at tight end.

Murphy, who came to TCU as a defensive end, is a two-year letterman. He made three starts last season.

Jones, a first-team Academic All-Big 12 honoree, appeared in all 12 games. He is the son of TCU football letterman Gregg Jones (1985-87).

Dominic Merka (6-4, 230, Jr.), a former high school quarterback, played in the opening seven games last season before being sidelined by injury. In 2012, he recorded his first collegiate touchdown by returning a fumbled punt attempt 15 yards for a touchdown at West Virginia. It began a 10-point second-half rally for the Horned Frogs en route to a 39-38 double overtime victory.

Bryson Burtnett (6-5, 237, RFr.) redshirted last season in his first year on campus and will add depth to the position.
