ABOUT THE GAME
*No. 13 TCU hosts former Southwest Conference rival Arkansas at 6 p.m.
*The Horned Frogs and Razorbacks, who will meet next season in Fayetteville, are playing for the first time since 1991, Arkansas' final year in the SWC.
*TCU's Gary Patterson and Arkansas' Bret Bielema have met once before as head coaches, in the 2011 Rose Bowl with the Horned Frogs capping a 13-0 season with a 21-19 victory over Wisconsin.
*TCU has the Big 12's best overall record (24-3) and conference mark (15-3) over the last three seasons. The .889 winning percentage is third-best in the nation in that stretch, trailing only Ohio State (.931, 27-2) and Alabama (.900, 27-3).
*Arkansas holds a 42-24-2 series edge over TCU.
*In the last meeting in 1991, the Razorbacks won 22-21 in Fort Worth. The previous season, in 1990, saw the Horned Frogs post a 54-26 victory over the No. 21 Razorbacks in Little Rock.
*The Horned Frogs are 15-21-1 versus Arkansas in Fort Worth with the last win being a 28-24 decision in 1981. The Razorbacks have won their last five games in Amon G. Carter Stadium. TCU is 9-21-1 on the road against Arkansas, including a 2-3 mark in Little Rock.
*One of TCU's more memorable games versus Arkansas was a 32-31 win in Fayetteville in 1984, when current defensive line coach Dan Sharp caught a 34-yard touchdown pass.
VERSUS THE SEC
*TCU is facing an SEC team for the first time since its 42-3 win over No. 9 Ole Miss in the 2014 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
*Under head coach Gary Patterson, the Horned Frogs are 2-1 versus the SEC. In addition to the victory over Ole Miss, TCU defeated Vanderbilt 30-14 in 2003, before dropping a 37-27 decision to No. 12 LSU in the 2013 season opener.
*A pair of Horned Frogs have faced Arkansas before.
*Quarterback Kenny Hill, while playing for Texas A&M, led the Aggies to a 35-28 overtime win over the Razorbacks on Sept. 27, 2014, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. In just his fifth collegiate start, Hill completed 21-of-41 passes for 386 yards and four touchdowns while adding 30 yards rushing on six carries. Hill's 25-yard TD pass on the first play of overtime provided the go-ahead and winning score.
*Graduate transfer wide receiver John Diarse, who played his first two seasons at LSU, was the Tigers' second-leading receiver with four receptions for 42 yards in last year's game with Arkansas. He had one catch for 5 yards versus the Razorbacks in 2014.
*Razorbacks' football legend Dick Bumpas, a 2006 inductee into the University of Arkansas Sports Hall of Honor, retired in 2014 after 11 seasons as the Horned Frogs' defensive coordinator. He worked at five different schools with TCU head coach Gary Patterson.
