ABOUT THE GAME
*TCU hosts San Diego State to begin a stretch of three home games in four weeks.
*The Frogs' seven-game winning streak, which had been the third-longest in the nation behind only BYU (14) and Georgia (11), was snapped at then-No. 2 Oklahoma.
*TCU has won eight of its last 10 games.
*The Frogs' 4-1 record matches its best start to a season in the last five years.
*TCU leads the nation in run defense, allowing just 29.4 yards per game. Texas is second at 52.5. The Frogs held the Sooners to 25 yards rushing on 36 attempts last week.
DEFENDING THEIR HOME
*Since 1999, TCU is 46-6 in its last 52 home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
*At 27-4 (.871), the Frogs have the ninth-best home record in the nation over the last six seasons.
*TCU has recorded three shutouts in its past 10 home dates.

*TCU holds a 3-0 series lead over San Diego State. All three meetings have taken place since the Frogs began Mountain West Conference play in 2005.
*In the only previous game in Fort Worth, TCU took a 52-0 victory over San Diego State in 2006.
*Both contests in San Diego have been battles for the Frogs. TCU won 23-20 in 2005 before rallying from a 17-0 first-quarter deficit for a 45-33 victory in last year's regular-season finale. That win enabled the Frogs to make their ninth bowl appearance in the last 10 years.
*The Frogs and Aztecs never played during the three seasons (1996-98) both teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference.
