FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU has named women's soccer forward Jordan Calhoun and football long snapper Daniel Shelley as its Scholar Athletes of the Month for September.

Calhoun, from Norman, Okla., has done it all for the Frogs. The senior communication studies major has notched the game-winning goal for TCU in its last three wins. In contests she has scored in, the Frogs are 4-0-1. On Sept. 18 against Northwestern State, Calhoun recorded her 76th point on the game-winning goal for TCU's career points record. Currently, she has 79 points including 33 goals, another TCU record. Calhoun was Offensive Most Valuable Player in the 2011 Red Raider Classic as the Frogs were the only unbeaten team in the tournament to win the championship.

Calhoun and TCU begin a four-game stretch at Garvey-Rosenthal Soccer Stadium on Friday, against San Diego State at 7 p.m. CDT.

Shelley is an environmental resources major. The junior from Austin is in his second year as a starter.
