TCU Muscle Milk Athletes Of The Week

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Brandon Hatfield of football and Ariana Grabowski of rifle have been named TCU's Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week based on impressive performances.

Hatfield, a junior kicker from Chino Hills, Calif., played an important role in the Horned Frogs' victory over the Kansas Jayhawks last week. Down by two points in the fourth quarter, TCU took over the ball after a failed field goal attempt by Kansas. TCU drove down the field in eight plays for 59 yards, and with 1:21 remaining on the clock, the Frogs set up Hatfield for what turned out the be the game-winning field goal.

Hatfield split the uprights to give TCU a 24-23 lead, and the Frogs held on to edge out the victory. TCU is on an open week but will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 22 to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown, W. Va.

Grabowski, a junior from Beaver, Pa., helped the women's rifle team surpass the 4,700 mark for the second-straight week in their victory over Air Force and Alaska. En route to the Frogs' second-highest score in program history, Grabowski led the team in smallbore with a personal best mark of 587. Overall, Grabowski finished fourth with a personal-best aggregate score of 1,176.

The rifle team's next match will be on Saturday, Oct. 11 at Murray State. The Frogs will then turn around and host Nevada the following week.
