Oct. 21, 2015

FORT WORTHSally Li of rifle and Trevone Boykin of football earned the title of this week’s Muscle Milk Athletes of the Week based on impressive performances.

Li, a native of Singapore, helped propel the undefeated Horned Frogs to a victory over Nevada after topping all shooters with a season-high 1,176 aggregate score over the weekend. Li has been named an All-American in air rifle and smallbore for two consecutive years.

TCU’s rifle team returns to the range on Sunday, Oct. 25 as they host nationally-ranked Nebraska.

Boykin, a native of Dallas, continued to lead TCU (7-0, 4-0) this season as the Horned Frogs secured a 45-21 win over Iowa State on Saturday night. Boykin completed 27 of his 32 passes for 436 yards, throwing for four touchdowns and rushing for one. Boykin’s 3-yard rushing touchdown helped put TCU ahead 38-21 in the fourth quarter, and from there, the team did not look back.

This week, TCU’s football team has an open week, but will return to the field on Oct. 29 to welcome West Virginia to Amon G. Carter Stadium.
