Jaden Oberkrom

Nov. 7, 2013

FORT WORTH, Texas -- TCU placekicker Jaden Oberkrom has received first-team Capital One Academic All-District honors, making him eligible for Academic All-America consideration.

A sophomore arts and science pre-major, Oberkrom is 12-of-16 on field goals and 25-of-25 on extra-point attempts this season.

Oberkrom is fourth among active players nationally with 1.6 field goals per game in his career. His 45-yard kick with 19 seconds left forced overtime in last week's West Virginia game.

Oberkrom is perfect on all 67 PAT attempts in his career, the second-longest streak in TCU history (79, Michael Reeder, 1994-97) and 10th currently among active players nationally.

An Arlington, Texas, native, Oberkrom was honorable-mention All-Big 12 and a Lou Groza Award semifinalist as a true freshman last season.
