Kemboi and Boyce Named Athletes of the Week

FORT WORTH - TCU has selected cross country runner Agnes Kemboi and football wide receiver Josh Boyce as its Athletes of the Week.

Kemboi, an Eldoret, Kenya native, will represent the Horned Frogs at the 2011 NCAA Cross Country National Championships. She finished sixth at the South Central regional with a time of 20:43.7.

It was her second best time of the season. She was also named to the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's South Central All-Region team. Kemboi will compete at the NCAA Cross Country Championships on Nov. 21 in Terre Haute, Ind.

Boyce of Copperas Cove, Texas, led the Frogs receiving corps in their 36-35 victory over Boise State. Boyce had five receptions for 163 yards, three touchdowns and a two-point conversion. He had two touchdown receptions of more than 60 yards, the longest going for 74. Boyce's final catch was the game-clinching two-point conversion

Boyce and the Frogs will be back in action on Saturday when they host Colorado State at 2:30 p.m.
