ABOUT THE GAME
*Defending Big 12 champion and No. 15 TCU travels to Oklahoma for its final regular-season road game.
*TCU is 9-1 this year, 17-1 in its last 18 games and 21-2 over the last two seasons.
*TCU is 9-1 or better for the fifth time in the last eight years and seventh time overall in 15 seasons under head coach Gary Patterson.
*The Horned Frogs are looking to reach 10 wins for the sixth time in the last eight years and 10th time in the past 14 seasons under Patterson. Prior to his arrival on campus in 1998, TCU had just four 10-win seasons in its history.
*Patterson is 19-16 against ranked opponents. The Horned Frogs have won four of their last five games versus ranked teams.
*The three previous Big 12 meetings between TCU and Oklahoma have been decided by a total of just 14 points.
*The game features the all-time winningest coaches at both schools. Patterson has 141 victories at TCU, while Bob Stoops has 177 for Oklahoma.
*Patterson and Stoops are two of just five active head coaches, including three in the Big 12, with 140 wins at their current schools.
*Patterson is 2-3 as a head coach versus Oklahoma.
*TCU is 11-7 on the road in its Big 12 history.
*Four of TCU’s last seven Big 12 road games have been decided by seven points or less. The Horned Frogs are 4-0 in those games. Since beginning Big 12 play in 2012, TCU is 8-3 in conference road games decided by seven points or less.
*TCU is tied for sixth nationally in most road wins (6) over Associated Press Top-25 teams since 2009.
*TCU has the nation’s third-best road record (29-7, .806) since 2009.
*Oklahoma holds a 9-5 series lead over TCU.
*The Horned Frogs are 3-3 versus the Sooners in Norman, 2-5 in Fort Worth and 0-1 in Oklahoma City.
*The first game in the series was a 34-19 Sooners’ win in Oklahoma City in 1944.
*TCU’s 17-10 win at No. 5 Oklahoma in 2005 was its first victory over an opponent ranked that high since a 6-0 decision at No. 1 Texas in 1961.
*The 10 points by the Sooners mark their fewest in a home game under head coach Bob Stoops.
