Doctson Named Biletnikoff Award Semifinalist

Nov. 17, 2015

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation Inc. has announced TCU's Josh Doctson as a semifinalist for the 2015 Biletnikoff Award, recognizing college football's most outstanding receiver regardless of position.

Doctson leads the nation with 1,327 receiving yards while his 14 touchdown catches are tied for second. His 79 receptions are fifth. He is the only player nationally to rank in the top 5 in all three categories which have set TCU single-season records.

Doctson has joined two-time Biletnikoff Award winner Michael Crabree from Texas Tech as the only players in the last 20 years to have six straight games with at least 100 yards receiving and multiple touchdown catches.

Eleven of Doctson's 14 touchdown receptions have come with the score in single digits. He tops the nation with 56 catches of at least 10 yards. His 62 receptions in conference play are the most in the nation.

Doctson received Walter Camp National Player of the Week honors after his 18 receptions for 267 yards and three touchdowns in TCU's 55-52 win at Texas Tech.

Doctson is one of just seven players in Big 12 history to have multiple seasons of at least 1,000 yards receiving and 10 touchdown catches.
