Carder a Finalist for Rose Bowl Game All-Century Class

PASADENA, Calif. -- Former TCU linebacker Tank Carder has been nominated as a finalist for the Rose Bowl Game All-Century Class as a representatives from the 2010s.
Carder, the Defensive Most Valuable Player in the Horned Frogs' 2011 Rose Bowl Game victory over Wisconsin, was selected by a panel from the Football Writers Association of America. The FWAA voting committee will select one Rose Bowl Game representative from each decade to comprise the All-Century Class, commemorating the 100th Rose Bowl Game.
Carder broke up the Badgers' potential game-tying 2-point pass with exactly two minutes to play. He totaled six tackles in the contest, including three for loss with a sack. After TCU took a 21-13 lead on its opening possession of the second half, Wisconsin drove to the Horned Frogs' 37 on its ensuring series. On a third-and-6, Carder recorded a sack for an 8-yard loss.
The Horned Frogs' victory capped a 13-0 season that saw TCU finish second in the national polls.
Carder was a two-time All-American and conference defensive player of the year at TCU. He is currently in his second season with the Cleveland Browns.
